Ananas Native Nursery

The culmination of a 5-year long dream, we now have our own nursery for primarily native and naturalised species.

  • All plants are grown with love and care, in red soil and organic compost. We do not use any synthetic inputs; only jeevamrutha or neem when required.

  • Species are selected according to their nativity and ecological roles as well as their use to human beings.

  • Seeds and other propagules are responsibly hand collected from mother plants and trees across South India.

  • All plants will be provided in light-weight polybags (we’re working on finding a reasonable alternative to the plastic ones - if you have any leads do let us know).

In addition to being a plant nursery, ANN is also an educational space for students and members of the public to connect with their local ecology, learn together about regenerative planting and building techniques and much more.
